Books by Rahbin Shyne

Rahbin Shyne is an educator and creative. She’s the author of several titles including 99 Inspiring Quotes by Famous African-Americans; Adventures in Compassion; and creator of BHM Goodness which marries acts of compassion to Black History Month. As an advocate for both compassionate actions generally and the power of listening specifically, she’s currently working on a book to advance the positive, powerful difference authentic listening provides.

As for the reason Rahbin chose 365 Brothers? She loves commitments by the numbers. Prior to launching this podcast, she’d completed both a 365 poetry challenge and a 365 doodle challenge. Currently, she’s more than halfway through a plan to complete 100 half-marathons between 2015 and 2026. “Long-term commitments inspire committed action for me.”

Shyne has taught in the Long Beach Unified School District for over twenty-five years. She’s worked a total of 30 years in education at various levels—K-12, community college and university. She earned her BA in Sociology from Stanford University and J.D. at UCLA School of Law. Follow her on Instagram @allthingsshyne and on LinkedIn.
